It’s time to delouse your grills, put on your shorts and flip flops and enjoy the day out bbqing and toking great Cigars. Along with my favorite smokes, I like to drink a glass of scotch and just relax. After such a long winter, which seemed to be longer than years past, last weekend was perfect BBQ weather. I was able to ultimately open all of my windows and air out the house. I don’t smoke inside, but it required airing out anyway. I tuned up my grass mower because yes, sadly it is that time of year also. The snow is gone and the grass is growing. I don’t mind cutting my grass and keeping the turf up. There is really a great satisfaction to a great looking grass and worth all the effort. This past weekend, I smoked my favorite cigar and BBQ’d up some ribs and pork steaks. I love to think of myself as the master cook, king of the grill. There is nothing like lighting those coals and going to the city on bounteous meats and vegetables. Naturally I’m a charcoal man, I love the flavour of the grill. If you use gas, it doesn’t get the smokey flavour that I love and is way overrated. I invited all of my friends and obviously the spouse and children were there. It’s a bit to cold to swim yet, but once memorial day comes around, I will open the pool for the season. My youngsters love swimming and splashing around, also I am known to take a dip with cigar and scotch in hand. Summer is just such a great time to meet up with buddies and relatives and enjoying life they way you want to.

There’s nothing greater than lighting up a smoke when it is time to calm down, either after your job, on the golf course and after we look after something major, like an individual and a professional success. And the longer we puff on stogies and become more familiar with smokes – the more we learn about looking after them. And of course when we start to smoke premium, dearer brands, we discover how important it is to keep them at there optimum level of freshness. You didn’t have to stress out about buying a traveling case for your Dutch Master Cigars that you used to purchase. So when its time to travel with our smokes -or even if we only want a smarter way to keep them while going to work or out on small business dinners -we definitely need a smarter way to protect there flavor, as well as carry them correctly. And selecting a Cigar Travel Humidor should be something that we take somewhat seriously. Honestly, when you consider it, more people will see our travel humidor than will see our home or primary humidor. So selecting a good, quality travelling humidor must be treated with the same type of thought and detail as when we selected our home humidor. Here are some tips for selecting a travelling humidor : These are the basics, but knowing them will prepare you for your search. The Size- fundamentally, how many cigars will you travel with. Don’t be afraid to over do it a bit. Obviously, its better to have more space than not enough. Lid and Seal – Depending on the type of humidor you would like – whether it be a solid case / box -or a leather one – The lid should always close on a cushion of air. We don’t desire ANY air inside our humidor. Air is the enemy and without regard for size, we should always get a cigar travel humidor that follows the same principles as a regular humidor. Within and Lining – For traveling, our cigar humidor wishes fingered casing so that our cigars stay nice and snug during our travels -especially for long distance trips. And a good insulated material is always another benefit. Humidifier Device – I’ve seen some blokes that basically paid money on a humidor with no humidifier device – and its a total let down. The Humidifier is the spine of a good, quality travel humidor. That is what controls the inside humidity levels inside the stogie travel humidor.

Tobacco leaves are harvested and aged employing a process that combines use of heat and shade to reduce sugar and water content without causing the large leaves to rot. This first part of the method, called curing, takes between twenty-five and 45 days and varies substantially based on climate conditions as well as the development of sheds or barns used to store cropped tobacco. The curing process is manipulated based on the sort of tobacco, and the desired color of the leaf. The second part of the process, called fermentation, is carried out under conditions created to help the leaf die slowly. Miami Suites Cigars are carefully fermented to a certain age. Temperature and humidity are controlled to make sure that the leaf continues to ferment, without rotting or disintegrating. This is where the flavor, burning, and scent traits are primarily brought out in the leaf.

Just as the EU wine industry experienced tension and growing pains as united states wine producers gained world accolades, the Cuban cigar industry must face market facts that they are no longer the global leader in cigar production and cigar quality. In fact, the lifting of the Embargo ( whatever that means ) will not, can not return Cuba to its glory days. The cigar industry has taken root and gained force in some of the states mentioned above, and there isn’t any indication that they may go into bankruptcy if the embargo is lifted. They are gaining notoriety and accolades for manufacturing quality products that the united states cigar backer has grown to accept and love.

Well, Saint Louis has accepted a smoking ban for all restaurants and bars, with only minimum exceptions. I am so sick and tired of my human rights dwindling down, I am ill. I do not apprehend the reason non-smokers have such a stong opinion on what we smokers do. I comprehend that smoking is bad, but I made a conscience selection when I took up smoking, aware of the fact it was harmful. Just because non-smokers want me to quit, doesn’t mean that it is going to happen. Smoking in pubs has been a favor, but most restaurants have a special smoking room. If non-smokers do not want to inhale the smoke, don’t sit down in the smoking room, you are not coerced to sit in smoking. And as far as the employees of these restaurants that state they are affected by second hand smoke, I don’t believe it. I was employeed in the service industry for more than 10 years, and I know that most of thepeople I worked with were smokers. Doing business with the public, if anything, drives you to inhale. Personally, I have never overheard any non-smoking co-worker ever complain about cigarette smoke while at work in the smoking room. Putting a smoking restriction in restaurants and bars, will only save me money, because I refuse to eat out after the the new year.

I have concluded this year to ask for simple Christmas Gifts that my wife can pick up comfortably for me. My number one gift, as always, is my favored cigar from marsh-wheeling-cigars.com. She won’t even have to take leave of our home, she can go on the web (I have all my favorites sites saved) and throw in the order there. As far as other gifts, she can take a trip to the closest shop and choose a gift. She argues every holiday that I am the most baffling man to buy for. But we have been together for about 15 years! And if she doesn’t realize the things I want by now, I just don’t know. I always articulate every holiday, “I got to have cigars”, I smoke 1 or 2 a day, and that adds up. I own a humidor for holding my cigars, “what’s that for?” my wife inquires. Well my beloved, it’s to keep my cigars alive. So, if you get me cigars for christmas I can hold them in the humidor for a couple months and pull a stogie when I am wishing to fancy one. Although I have to say, I was blessed last year, my wife bought me a lighter that was ingraved with my initials. The prior year, she got me a fishing pole, unfortunately I said I wanted to go fishing again someday. Well, I went fishing once since then, but guess what, I still smoke 1-2 cigars a day. In the end what do I want for the holiday this year? I want Stogies, and all else would just be an added pleasure.

The typical method of categorizing cigars is by the method in which they are made. Cigars are either rolled by hand, or manufactured by machines. The newer smoker may be tempted to start by trying those machine made brands sold in Drug Stores, such as Parodi. However, the aspiring connoisseur should consider spending a few more pennies and moving up to hand rolled cigars, which are sold online or at a local tobacconist.

Daily Smokers Vs Connoisseurs
MostIndividual cigar smokers have their own specific tastes, and have their own individual budget. Those who enjoy smoking several cigars per day may need an “everyday” cigar that is inexpensive. Therefore, the taste and cost of machine made cigars can be very handsome to some smokers. However, to the aspiring or experienced connoisseurs, the ones who enjoy an occasional cigar as a special treat, the hand rolled cigar is worth every penny.
